For years a job at Sorted lived in five places. The quote sat in one program, the job card in another, the hours in a spreadsheet and the invoice somewhere else, and whether the client had paid was a question for the bank statement. So we designed and built our own job management system, one app that follows a job the way a studio actually works it: quote, job card, invoice, paid, VAT. Each step picks up where the last one stopped, so nothing gets typed twice.

Sorted+ is studio management software that runs online, in the browser, on a monthly subscription. Inside it sit quotes, invoices, credit notes and client statements; a job board with job cards and timers that send real hours back to the quote; a client list that shows what each client owes and what their work actually made; supplier costs and a cash flow view that shows how long the money lasts; gross profit on every job before the month is over; and an accountant section with bank reconciliation, VAT201, journals and opening balances. Staff roles decide who sees what, so a designer sees the jobs and the director sees the money.

It is built for design studios, agencies, architects, interior and fashion studios and photographers: businesses that run on quotes, briefs and revision rounds rather than a shop till. We designed it the way we would design for a client, with its own name, identity and website at sortedplus.com, and more than one look inside the app: Classic, Neo-brutalism and more on the way, set for the whole studio or chosen by each person. Every quote, job and invoice at Sorted Design now runs through it, and it is open to other South African creative studios.

Under the surface, each studio's data is separated at the database level, payments go through PayFast, and a studio that decides to leave can take a full backup first. Every plan can also be run by talking to an AI assistant such as Claude, inside a connection limited to that one studio, with every change logged and able to be undone.
